Thank you!

Finally had time to put together a post and thank all the couples who have trusted me to capture their wedding so far this year! It seems a distant memory that we had such a sunny spring and early summer. The last few weekends have mostly been a case of dodging the rain to capture the photos. Apparently rain on your wedding day is supposed to be lucky, but getting webbed feet isn't!

Some lovely new venues I've worked at, including Hanbury Barns, which hosted the wedding of Catherine and Matt recently. So great to see all their family again. This was the third of the family's weddings I've photographed and there are countless other times their family has been in front of camera - the kids have all grown so much!

Also revisited venues I've worked at times before with a number of church and civil weddings. I'm bound to miss some but here goes, Branston, (Riverside and Pavilion a few times each), Lichfield and Burton Registry Offices, Conkers and Dovecliff, Shottle & Makeney Halls to name a few. Earlier in the season I was at Melbourne View three times in five weeks. All beautiful venues. It would be a long list of couples, but you all know how much I enjoyed each of your weddings!

Amy and Josh take in the country views at Makeney Hall.

Nikki and Dan had a visit from their lovely Labradors.... At Riverside, Branston.

It's always good to meet friends again. Lauren and Ollie, it was lovely to capture your day and to catch up with your families and friends again. I was so touched when Ollie mentioned me in his speech not as the photographer, but as a family friend. At the recent wedding of Charlie and Alex we worked out we were distantly related on my mum's side and had a great catch up with family as well as friends from football and work.

So many great memories. My 100th wedding, a trip on Conker choo, singing waiters, fireworks and lots of very yummy food from afternoon teas, formal dinners and a greek meze! It's sooo good to see people again, an example was two sisters' weddings less than a year apart. So many bookings still come from referrals, which I truly value. The very kind feedback customers provide also is very humbling. You can see some of the recent photographs here.

Charlie and Alex watch their stunning firework display at Dovecliff Hall.

Just released last weekend's wedding photographs for Tracie and Clive. They sent me a lovely message from Greece having viewed them on their honeymoon. I always try to get the photos to couples as soon as I can and some samples the day after their wedding!

Cameras are all ready to go again tomorrow when Sam and Kate say 'I do'. As always, thanks for reading,

Paul x
